ABC has announced changes to tonight’s lineup to provide an extended edition of “Nightline” covering the uprising in Egypt. “Nightline: Crisis in Egypt” will be televised at 11:35 p.m. and will include a report by Christiane Amanpour on her exclusive interview with Hosni Mubarak, Egypt’s embattled president.
Amanpour and other ABC News staffers have been attacked recently in Cairo, as we reported earlier. Other Western journalists have also been attacked as violence escalates in Egypt’s capital city.
Amanpour and Terry Moran will co-anchor the broadcast, with David Muir and Lama Hasan reporting from Egypt.
“Jimmy Kimmel Live” will follow the extended “Nightline” at 12:30 a.m.
