After trying out the concept in a November special, TLC has given a series order to "Pawn Queens," about two women who run a Chicago-area pawn shop, reports EW.com’s InsideTV blog.
The special was watched by 1.2 million viewers, and TLC has ordered eight episodes of the program, the story notes. The show will track Minda and Nikki, the owners of a pawn shop that caters to women and specializes in jewelry, antiques and vintage Barbie dolls, it adds.
The History Channel already has a very successful show entitled "Pawn Stars."
