The former star of a popular family TV show, an ex-teen heartthrob and recording artist, entered a plea of no contest Wednesday to a charge of driving under the influence, the AP reported.
Former "Partridge Family" star David Cassidy will be required to serve a year’s probation and his driving privileges have been suspended for six months following his plea in a Florida court.
Cassidy was not required to appear in the Fort Pierce court when the judgment was entered Wednesday afternoon.
The onetime teen idol, now 60, was stopped Nov. 3 when a Florida Highway Patrolman clocked him speeding on the Florida Turnpike. He failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.
