A drama based on a graphic novel called "Powers" has been given a pilot order by FX, reports Deadline.com.

The project is a police procedural featuring two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who work in a world where many people have superpowers, the story notes.

The project is written by Charles H. Eglee, who joined after working as an executive producer on another show based on a graphic novel, AMC’s "The Walking Dead," the story notes.

The pilot is to be directed by Michael Dinner, and the project, from Sony Pictures TV and FX Prods., is scheduled to start casting for a spring shoot, the article adds.
