No surprise here. Lex Luthor refuses to appear in the upcoming finale of "Smallville." At least so far, reports James Hibberd on EW.com’s Inside TV blog.
On the other hand, you’d think the actor who played Luthor for seven seasons on the show–Michael Rosenbaum–WOULD want to have his character on the finale.
According to the article, the reason for Rosenbaum’s refusal to appear on the finale is that he says he’s put the show behind him as he pursues another creative outlet, writing.
While there’s still the opportunity for Rosenbaum to sign on to play the show’s villain, it won’t last much longer, the piece says.
That’s because "Smallville" wraps its production late next month, with just three episodes left to shoot, including the finale, the story says.
