CBS may earn about $200 million during the next two years with the deal it announced this week with Netflix to stream TV shows through the service, The New York Times Media Decoder blog says, citing an analyst’s report.

A Barclay’s analyst said the deal is a "clear positive" for CBS, as it will make money from its library without devaluing the content or risking revenue from ad buyers or distributors, the piece notes.

The article adds that the deal’s terms weren’t disclosed. As TVWeek  previously reported, CBS and Netflix announced an agreement to provide full seasons of mostly older CBS shows, with titles including "Cheers" (which originally aired in NBC, but was owned by Paramount TV, which is now CBS) and "The Twilight Zone."
