Sheen Tells ‘Good Morning America’ He’s Negotiating with HBO for a Series. There’s Just One Problem … Also, Sheen Denies He’s Anti-Semitic

Charlie Sheen said "he is in talks with HBO about starting his own show called ‘Sheen’s Corner,’ which, according to Radar Online, would be a $5 million-per-episode deal," is the word ABC News sent out this morning in a press release touting an email conversation between Sheen and ABC’s "Good Morning America."

There’s just one thing wrong with it. TVWeek contacted HBO and a spokesperson told us that what Sheen says about having talks with them is just plain "not true."

Interestingly, ABC News didn’t check with HBO before sending out its release this morning.

In other Sheen news, "GMA" says he also told them that he will show up for work Monday, even though CBS and "Two and a Half Men" producer Warner Bros. have shut down production for the rest of the season.

Also, Sheen–whose birth name is Carlos Irwin Estevez–spoke to TMZ today about charges that he’s anti-semitic because he keeps referring to "Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre as Chaim Levine.

According to TMZ, Sheen said " ‘I was referring to Chuck by his real name because I wanted to address the man, not the bulls**t TV persona.’ FYI–Chuck’s birth name is Charles Levine … and his Hebrew name is Chaim. Charlie added, ‘So you’re telling me, anytime someone calls me Carlos Estevez, I can claim they are anti-Latino?’ "

  1. I have a feeling HBO is talking to him because they are a low class organization that will do anything to get their dwindling ratings back up. They currently have fallen to 28 million homes. Heck, even TVLand has 98 million homes!
