Time Warner’s CEO of the magazine division, Jack Griffin, has been dismissed after just five months on the job, The Huffington Post reported.

Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes sent a memo on Thursday explaining why he let Griffin go, saying, "Although Jack is an extremely accomplished executive, I concluded that his leadership style and approach did not mesh with Time Inc. and Time Warner."

According to Bewkes, editor-in-chief John Huey and two other Time Inc. executives will oversee Griffin’s division until a new hire is made.
