Comedian Will Ferrell was joking about his guest role on "The Office" becoming a full-time job, reports New York Magazine’s Vulture blog.
As previously reported, Ferrell said it was "looking good" that he’d join the series when Steven Carell leaves the show after this season. But New York Magazine reports it called Paul Lieberstein, the producer of "The Office," to check on the report, and he replied, "Will was joking–but he commits to his jokes so fully that we’re hoping he’s with us long term, just as a bit that won’t end."
I think they should keep bringing in big name quest stars to be acting manager. Dunder Mifflin can become a training groung for managers. Some can be duffouses like Will Ferrell probably will be. Some could be mean some could be great these stars can come in for 4 or 6 episodes then leave. The story lines can be great.
