ABC announced a key move among its creative team as entertainment boss Paul Lee continues to shake things up, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The network’s top scripted development executive, Suzanne Patmore-Gibbs, is out.
Canning Dungey, senior VP of drama, and Samie Falvey, senior VP of comedy, will now report directly to Lee, the story says.
Patmore-Gibbs has been exec VP of scripted creative at the network since 2007, but that position has been eliminated.
The story points out that ABC is down about 10% season to date from a year ago in the key 18-49 demo, and has had trouble launching new scripted series. Meanwhile, a number of its key scripted shows–such as “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Desperate Housewives” and “Brothers & Sisters”–are showing their age.
