CBS News Names New VP

CBS News President David Rhodes announced a key promotion Thursday, naming the division’s newest vice president, TheWrap.com reported.

CBS News foreign editor Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews was promoted to vice president and “will coordinate all day-to-day news coverage, foreign and domestic,” the story reports.

Said Rhodes, in a statement, "When I joined the organization just last month, Ingrid immediately impressed me as someone who could be a leader in our newsroom."

Ciprian-Matthews has been with CBS News since 1993, and previously spent nine years at CNN.
