Chris Brown has parted ways with his independent publicist, Tammy Brook, in the wake of a high-profile outburst by the singer during a “Good Morning America” appearance earlier this week, TMZ.com reported. The decision was reportedly mutual.
In the “GMA” incident, Brown apparently smashed a window in his dressing room following an interview in which he protested being asked about his 2009 domestic violence case involving Rihanna. Brown later apologized for the outburst.
Brook issued a statement Friday confirming the end of her arrangement with Brown, but did not mention the “GMA” situation. The statement, given to TMZ, says: "I am an entertainment/music publicist and was hired as a publicist, as they often are, to work specifically on his music publicity for the term up to the release of Chris Brown’s "F.A.M.E." album, which was released on Tuesday March 22 and is entering the Billboard and iTunes charts at number 1 this week. I love and support Chris and it has been an honor to be a part of this album and I look forward to the possibility of working with him again in the future."
