Film star Christina Ricci has signed on for her first major television role, Deadline.com reports. She will star as Maggie, a stewardess, in ABC’s drama pilot "Pan Am."

Her character leads a double life as a poised flight attendant while on duty and an earthy bohemian when she’s not, the story notes. Set in the 1960s, the show tracks pilots and flight attendants working at the iconic airline.

Meanwhile, ABC’s drama series "Missing" has tapped Ashley Judd, while the network’s comedy pilot "Bad Mom" has cast Jenna Elfman, Deadline.com reported.

"Missing" stars Judd as single mom and former CIA agent Becca Winstone, who decides to track down her 18-year-old son after he goes missing in Italy, the story notes. Steve Shill will direct multiple episodes of the series, including the pilot. Production will start late next month in Rome, Vienna and Prague.

In "Bad Mom," Elfman will play Julia, a mom whose two kids have been mostly brought up by her mother, the story says. Julia is forced back to parenting when her mom decides to take her life back.

In other casting news, Deadline.com notes that Jaime King has been cast to co-star with Rachel Bilson in The CW drama pilot "Hart of Dixie," while Annie Potts has been tapped for a lead role in ABC’s pilot "Good Christian Bitches," with Potts playing the main character’s demanding mother.
