CNN Worldwide has named BET executive Janet Rolle to replace Scot Safon as its exec VP-chief marketing officer, Advertising Age reports. The appointment fills the vacancy created last fall when Safon was assigned to run CNN sibling HLN.
Rolle, who has been exec VP-CMO of BET Networks since 2007, will join CNN later this month.
At BET, Kendrick Reid, senior VP-executive creative director for brand strategy, will oversee Rolle’s duties while the company conducts a formal search for her replacement.
