CBS News anchor Katie Couric met with Time Warner Chief Executive Jeff Bewkes on Thursday for lunch, where the pair reportedly talked about possibilities with Warner Bros. and Telepictures Productions, which produce syndicated TV programming, reports the New York Post’s Page Six.

The story also points out that Time Warner owns CNN and that Bewkes said recently that the cable news network can afford “to pay for some of the biggest talent in TV news.”

Couric’s $15-million-a-year contract with CBS ends in June, the story notes.
