Jeff Gaspin, Andrea Wong Among Candidates Being Considered to Run The CW

Jeff Gaspin, a former top executive at NBC Universal, and former Lifetime Chief Executive Andrea Wong are among the candidates being considered to run The CW, reports our friend Claire Atkinson at the New York Post.

Gaspin left NBC Universal after he failed to agree on a future with Comcast, and may still have a non-compete clause with NBC Universal, the story notes. Gaspin couldn’t immediately be reached for comment, the article says.

Wong left A&E Television Networks last year after it bought Lifetime. As TVWeek has previously reported, The CW has started interviewing candidates to replace outgoing entertainment president Dawn Ostroff, and is interviewing at least 10 people.

  1. Give it to Jess Gaspin. Andrea Wong managed to run lifetime in the ground while she was there, alienating fans of certain shows in the process. Plus she’s famous, or I should say infamous, for bringing reality shows over here. She should be shunned for that alone. Very few people watch lifetime and when they did have shows the fans loved they pitched them. Don’t give her a chance to ruin the CW.
