Lohan Defiant, Plans to Reject Plea Deal and Go to Trial in Theft Case

Lindsay Lohan is determined to prove her innocence in court and has decided to reject a plea deal offered by prosecutors in her felony grand theft case, TMZ.com reports.

A preliminary hearing is set for April 22 before Judge Stephanie Sautner, who is considered “tough but fair,” according to the report.

Complicating her prospects in court, the story says, is her probation from an earlier conviction. She could reportedly be sent to jail on a probation violation even before she gets a chance to clear herself in court on the theft charge.

However, if a decision on the probation violation is delayed until the theft case is resolved, Lohan could walk away unscathed–provided she is found innocent in the theft case.
