Martha Stewart’s Hallmark Channel programming in the fourth quarter helped boost parent company Crown Media’s profit to $29 million, compared with just $373,000 a year earlier, reports the Hollywood Reporter.
The story notes that the Hallmark Channel home programming block that airs the "Martha Stewart Show" increased the network’s audience 40% during the holiday period.
Advertising sales in the quarter jumped 13% to $68.2 million, while subscriber fee revenue rose 34% to $22 million, the story says.
