The role of Sarah Palin in “Game Change,” HBO’s upcoming movie about the 2008 presidential campaign, will be played by a multiple Oscar nominee, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Julianne Moore will play the former Alaska governor and vice presidential nominee, the story says. Moore has been nominated for four Academy Awards, for “Far From Heaven,” “The Hours,” “The End of the Affair” and “Boogie Nights.”

Moore won a Daytime Emmy for outstanding ingenue in 1988 for “As the World Turns.”

“Game Change” is written by Danny Strong and will be directed by Jay Roach.

  1. Julianne Moore is brilliant. I thought the producers would try to cast a comedian, but instead the casting directors found talent. Sarah Palin should be worried. Sarah Palin will not be President of the United States if Julianne Moore can add truth to her performance as Palin.

  2. Julianne Moore is an excellent actress, so she could pull this off.
