Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has revealed that his next project is a TV show called “The Governator,” Entertainment Weekly reports.
The show is an animated superhero series, for which Schwarzenegger will provide the voice of the title character. The character is based on Schwarzenegger, who earned the nickname “The Governator” when he first ran for governor of California. Schwarzenegger played an indestructible cyborg in the “Terminator” movies.
Co-developing the show is superhero comic legend and “Spider-Man” co-creator Stan Lee.
“The Governator is going to be a great superhero, but he’ll also be Arnold Schwarzenegger,” Lee told the publication. “We’re using all the personal elements of Arnold’s life. We’re using his wife [Maria Shriver]. We’re using his kids. We’re using the fact that he used to be governor. Only after he leaves the governor’s office, Arnold decides to become a crime fighter and builds a secret high-tech crime-fighting center under his house in Brentwood.”
