Tuesday Nielsens: Fox Wins the Night Even With ‘Glee’ Ratings Dip

“Glee” was off 13% Tuesday night from a week ago in adults 18-49, but it was still good enough to give Fox the overall win for the night in the 18-49 demo, TVbytheNumbers.com reported. CBS, with a lineup of all-repeat programming, won the night in total viewers.

Fox averaged a 3.0 rating for the night in 18-49, topping NBC (2.3 average), CBS (1.9), Univision (1.7) and ABC (1.3). In total viewers, CBS’s average of 10.8 million led the way, followed by Fox’s 8.0 million, NBC’s 6.6 million, ABC’s 4.9 million and Univision’s 4.4 million.

At 8 p.m. "Glee" averaged a 4.05 in the 18-49 demographic, besting NBC’s "The Biggest Loser" with a mean score of 2.4 in the same demo.

At 9 p.m. hour two of "The Biggest Loser" averaged a 3.0 in the 18-49 demo, ahead of ABC’s "V," which delivered a mean score of 1.8 in the same demo for that time period. Fox’s "Raising Hope" and "Traffic Light" had a 2.5 average and a 1.6, respectively, in the 18-49 demo.

The lone fresh network episode at 10 p.m. was ABC’s "Detroit 1-8-7," with a 1.3 average in the 18-49 demographic for the hour.

  1. What abut TruTV. Was there any bounce from the Basketball? Or are their numbers still too low to measure.
