With New Programming on the Way, Slots in the Fox Schedule Are Scarce–What Will That Mean for the Future of Dramas ‘Fringe,’ ‘Human Target,’ ‘Lie to Me’ and ‘Chicago Code’?

With plans for "Terra Nova" and "The X Factor" to appear on its fall schedule, Fox may only be able to renew three dramas from this season, and those would be "House," "Glee" and "Bones," writes Bill Gorman at TVbytheNumbers.com.

The story notes that the ratings for "Lie to Me" and "The Chicago Code" indicate cancellation, although Fox is keeping repeats on its summer schedule, which could mean they are tossups for renewal.

The network may or may not have room for a current "marginal" drama, which would also include "Human Target" and "Fringe," as well as "Lie to Me" and "The Chicago Code," although it won’t have room for two, the piece notes.

  1. Fringe, Human Target and The Chicago Code are great shows and I never miss them. Ever.
Why is it my favorite shows get cancelled?
