Addressing Wall Street in a conference call this morning, Comcast execs announced an investment in NBC’s prime-time schedule that’s significantly more than GE spent last year, reports Deadline.com.
NBCU Chief Steve Burke spelled out the numbers, revealing that spending on NBC prime time will be a $200 million increase over 2010. Comcast also plans a $100 million spending increase for NBCU’s cable nets.
Comcast CEO Brian Roberts joined Burke in proposing more synergy among Comcast’s various properties. "We have a saying that we’re better together. That’ll be a big key to our success,” said Burke.
Roberts echoed that sentiment and conceded, “We still have a lot of work to do, and we know it.”
