One of the stars of the long-running NBC sitcom “Friends” is returning to rehab to work on recovery from substance problems, People.com reports.

The star is Matthew Perry, who has had problems in the past with alcohol and prescription pills, the story notes.

Perry, 41, most recently appeared in ABC’s "Mr. Sunshine" and has been in rehab twice, in 2001 and 1997. "I’m making plans to go away for a month to focus on my sobriety and to continue my life in recovery. Please enjoy making fun of me on the World Wide Web," Perry said in a statement.
