Fox’s "House" is nearing a renewal for its eighth and likely last season after co-stars Robert Sean Leonard and Omar Epps signed deals to return, reports Deadline.com.

Leonard, Epps and Lisa Edelstein were the three original cast members whose contracts expire at the end of the season. Edelstein hasn’t yet signed a new deal, although she’s expected to, the story says.

Producer Universal Media Studios has been seeking ways to cut costs as Fox wants to reduce its license fee, the piece notes. While Leonard is returning at his former fee of $175,000 per episode, Epps and Edelstein’s paychecks may decline.
