A former late-night host has signed a development deal with ABC Studios to create and star in a prime-time comedy show, reports Deadline.com. 

Craig Kilborn, former host of the "Late Late Show" on CBS and "The Daily Show" on Comedy Central, is hoping to next be a prime-time sitcom star.

Kilborn began as an anchor on ESPN’s "SportsCenter" before jumping into the talk show genre. Most recently, he was doing "The Kilborn Files," a talk show that ran on Fox stations last year.
