Just days after the producers of Showtime’s “Dexter” revealed that Colin Hanks would be appearing in all 12 episodes of the show’s upcoming sixth season, word surfaced that hip-hop superstar Mos Def will also be on the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Mos Def will have a multi-episode arc, playing an ex-con who’s been reborn thanks to religion, and yet remains heavily steeped in a violent lifestyle. He will learn all about Dexter’s serial killer activities when Dexter shares his secret with him.

Other recent guest stars have included Jonny Lee Miller, Julia Styles and Peter Weller.
