After opening to the biggest three-day weekend comedy box office ever, "The Hangover Part II" has already been snapped up for television, reports Deadline.com.

FX won the TV rights to the Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures film over Turner, which is a sibling company to the film’s studio, in a deal that’s at least $24 million, the story reports.

The movie will air on FX in late 2013 or early 2014. FX has also acquired the TV rights to "Thor" and "Kung Fu Panda 2," among other films.
