A week after it canceled two shows, a cable network said it’s picking up two sketch comedy shows, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s The Live Feed blog.

Comedy Central made the announcement Tuesday. Nick Kroll, who has appeared in TV series "Children’s Hospital" and "The League," will star in "The Nick Show Kroll," which will feature the comedian transforming himself into a variety of characters.

The other series is an untitled show starring "MadTV’s” Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. The show will be a two-person sketch series with filmed shorts, the story says.

Comedy Central recently announced the cancellations of “Sports Show With Norm Macdonald” and “Onion SportsDome.”
