MGM Names President of International TV Distribution and Acquisitions

MGM announced today that it has promoted one of its executives to president of International Television Distribution and Acquisitions. The job goes to Chris Ottinger, who previously was executive VP of Worldwide Television for the studio.

The promotion was announced today by Roma Khanna, president of MGM’s Television Group and Digital.

In a statement, Khanna said: "In his time at MGM, Chris has proven himself to be a dynamic and excellent executive. I have no doubt that he will be a fantastic leader for our growing international TV business.”

Ottinger, who will report to Khanna, will oversee all international TV distribution and acquisitions activities for the studio and will work with teams in Los Angeles, London and around the world.

The company said in its announcement: “In his current role at MGM, Ottinger oversaw the studio’s international pay television business and was responsible for closing pay television output deals in Italy, France, Germany, Poland and Central Europe. In addition, he supervised MGM’s television production and development activities and was responsible for shows including ‘Teen Wolf’ on MTV and ‘Mildred Pierce’ on HBO in addition to managing a development slate of over 15 projects.”
