ABC’s reality lineup–two hours of “The Bachelorette” and an hour of “Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition’–was strong enough to beat NBC’s Stanley Cup Finals, Game 6, on a night when the other networks aired mostly repeat programming, TVbytheNumbers.com reported.

ABC finished the night with a 2.2 average rating in adults 18-49. Comparable figures weren’t available for NBC, with adjustments coming due to the live sports programming, but NBC appeared to be destined to finish second. Trailing were Fox (1.6 average rating) and CBS (1.4).

ABC averaged 7.2 million total viewers for the night, to 6.0 million for CBS and 4.1 million for Fox.

At 8 p.m. hour one of ABC’s "The Bachelorette" averaged a 2.3 in the 18-49 demographic, besting the start of the NHL game on NBC, which had a preliminary 1.75 in the same demo.

At 9 p.m. "The Bachelorette" was up to a 2.45 average in the 18-49 demo, followed by Fox’s "MasterChef" with a 1.95 average. Hour two of the hockey game on NBC tied with the Gordon Ramsay show on Fox, also with a 1.95 average.

At 10 p.m. Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals on NBC and ABC’s "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition" tied with an average of 2.0 in the 18-49 demo.
