News Anchor Makes History

History is being made this week in television news, and it’s taking place on two very different networks, TVNewser reported. For the first time, a journalist on U.S. television is anchoring both an English-language and a Spanish-language newscast, on two networks, for a solid week.

Jose Diaz-Balart, usually seen on Telemundo, is doing double duty this week, adding an MSNBC telecast to his NBCU work load.

Diaz-Balart is anchoring his regular daily "Noticiero Telemundo" 6:30 p.m. broadcast, and filling in for Contessa Brewer on MSNBC’s noon newscast.
