Weston Cage, the son of actor Nicolas Cage, was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon and was undergoing mental evaluation after an altercation at a Hollywood restaurant, TMZ.com reported.

The 20-year-old reportedly got into a hassle with his trainer after the trainer told him he couldn’t eat something that was on the menu, the story says. Cage reportedly started pushing the trainer around before the trainer was able to take him down.

When the incident continued, police arrived and threatened to tase Cage, then handcuffed him and strapped him to a gurney to be taken to the hospital, the story says.

One source reportedly said Cage had gotten into an argument with his new wife earlier in the day.

Cage’s father arrived at the hospital later in the day and had his schedule cleared so he could stay with his son as long as needed, according to the report.
