Report: CBS, Which Was Asking for Price Increases of 18% in the Upfront, Is Settling for Less

CBS, which reportedly was looking for price increases of 18% in the upfront marketplace, is doing deals for 14% to 15% cost-per-thousand increases, Jon Lafayette writes for B&C.

According to the article, "The Tiffany Network had come down from its asking price of 18%, but is doing deals that market sources said ranged between 14% and 15% rate increases on a cost-per-thousand viewers (CPM) basis."

Still, the increases CBS is getting are "bigger than those recorded by Fox, which opened the market," Lafayette writes.

As previously reported by TVWeek, Fox  wrote much of its upfront business at 11% and 12% CPM increases.
