Syfy could make a decision soon about a "Warehouse 13" spinoff featuring the character H.G. Wells, who in the television show is a woman played by Jaime Murray, reports Zap2It.com.

In the Syfy show, Wells is the sister of Charles Wells, who wrote the well-known H.G. Wells stories, and is a genius who invents steampunk-like contraptions.

According to Jack Kenny, the executive producer and showrunner of "Warehouse 13", Syfy "really loved it. They loved the character. They love that whole world of steampunk. We’re developing it now."

A final decision could come soon, with Kenny planning to meet with Syfy at the end of the month to talk about episode ideas, pilot ideas, plot arcs and characters.

He added that he and writer Bob Goodman will be free to focus on a spinoff after "Warehouse 13" wraps on July 25. "Warehouse 13" returns to Syfy for its third season July 11.
