Seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong has sent a letter to Jeff Fager, CBS News chairman, demanding an on-air apology for the "60 Minutes" report in which another cyclist accused Armstrong of having used performance enhancing drugs while in competition, The Washington Post reported.

Tyler Hamilton was the main focus of the May 22 "60 Minutes" report in which Armstrong was discussed, but did not participate in the piece.

On Tuesday, Armstrong’s representatives–attorneys John W. Keker and Elliot R. Peters–wrote to Fager and said that the feature was a “demonstrable falsehood that you recklessly presented, and then bolstered with other untrue assertions and facts taken out of context.”
