A deal has been closed that will bring the box-office smash “X-Men: First Class” to television, Deadline.com reported. The movie, which opened at No. 1 last weekend with $55.1 million at the box office, will run on FX, the story reports.
FX also recently picked up the mega-hit “Hangover II.”
“First Class,” from FX corporate sibling Twentieth Century Fox, gives FX all four “X-Men” movies. FX also has superhero films in the franchises “Spider-Man” and “Fantastic Four,” along with “X-Men” spinoff “Wolverine.”
FX has been on a roll landing rights to No. 1 box-office-opening movies, including “Tron: Legacy,” “The Roommate” and “Battle: Los Angeles.”
