Fox News Channel’s "Fox & Friends" is taking aim at an animated children’s show, "SpongeBob SquarePants," which has teamed up with the U.S. Department of Education to teach kids about global warming, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s The Live Feed.
The education agency showed a video and handed out books to children that "blamed man for global warming, but they did not tell kids that is actually a disputed fact — oops," said Gretchen Carlson on the Fox News show.
Fox’s Dave Briggs said global warming is "unproven science" and added: "This is a public education system that we all pay our tax dollars for and the SpongeBob book says that it’s a manmade problem that requires human intervention."

And why should Fox? After all, they are fair and balanced.
There was a time the “mainstream” scientific community regarded the earth as flat, turns out they were wrong. Science is not about what is regarded, it is about what is proven fact and finding the proof to make it fact. The earth appears to be warming (not entirely provable), however there is virtually no facts, or irrefutable truth to show that man has caused any warming. That is not to say that we shouldn’t work toward trying to be better stewards of earth’s resources, but to simply blame the petro-chemical industry for all our ills is simply childish. Fluorescent bulbs for incandescent? Stupid. Electric cars? Silly. They both still pollute and cause new problems.
