Bill Lawrence, who co-created "Spin City" and the current ABC sitcom "Cougar Town"–and who created solo the long-running "Scrubs"–has sold his second pilot within three weeks, according to our friend Nellie Andreeva at Deadline.com.
Writes Andreeva, "I hear Fox has handed a put pilot commitment to an untitled single-camera comedy, which Lawrence will write, direct and executive produce. Inspired by Lawrence’s real-life experiences, it centers on a father-son relationship. This marks the first pilot script Lawrence will write solo since ‘Scrubs.’ "
As TVWeek previously reported less than three weeks ago, Lawrence and former "How I Met Your Mother" executive producer Greg Malins sold a pilot for a multicamera workplace comedy to CBS.
