Comedy Central is planning a huge marketing push for Charlie Sheen’s roast, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The network will center the marketing campaign around Ozzy Osbourne’s classic rock song "Crazy Train," including radio tie-ins, double-decker buses in New York and Los Angeles decorated with the theme and TV spots featuring Sheen as a train conductor, the story says.
The Comedy Central roast will air at 10 p.m. on Sept. 19, after CBS’s season debut of "Two and a Half Men," Sheen’s former TV show, points out Advertising Age.
Comedy Central has a lot riding on the roast, since its summer ratings were down 7% year-over-year among total viewers, the Ad Age story points out.
