Ellen DeGeneres told the audience on her talk show about an incident during the past couple of days in which she woke up with chest pains and later called paramedics, reports USA Today’s LifeLineLive blog.
On the show, which will air today, Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, DeGeneres said she wanted to talk about the incident since "TMZ is also telling you what’s going on in my life," the story says. TMZ had reported that the star had suffered chest pains during a meeting on the Warner Bros. lot.
DeGeneres, 53, told the audience that she woke up "in the middle of the night. I was feeling like a tightness of my chest and all the scary things … like something was heavy on my chest — and it was a cat, so I moved it."
She said she went to work and still felt the pain, so she called the paramedics on the Warner Bros. lot.
In the end, she said, "I don’t know what it is but it’s fine," the story says.
