HBO fantasy series "Game of Thrones" has lined up directors for the second season, reports Deadline.com

Film director Neil Marshall, who directed the movie "The Descent," is slated to direct an episode of “Thrones,” the story says. This will mark Marshall’s television debut, the piece notes, adding that Marshall is a "huge fan" of HBO’s adaptation of the George R.R. Martin books.

Other directors tapped for the show’s next season are Alan Taylor, who also worked on the show’s first season; David Nutter (“Entourage”); Alik Sakharov (“Rome”); and David Petrarca ("Boardwalk Empire").

  1. It is a bolt from the blue when Joffrey announces to execute Ned!!! I see people are all astonished, Cersai, Sansa…… me too. Joffrey disregards his mother’s suggestion and Sansa’s plea to keep Ned alive. He may make the wrong decision as all of us think it is not a clever choice. But will have to see more in the next season.

  2. Dragons!!! Dragons!!! Do you guys notice the dragons at the end of the show? Omg. I am totally overwhelmed. Daenerys Targaryen is the light spot in this show. Elegant, fragile but tough, beautiful……o I could not think any more words of her. My fav.
