Joan Collins, the legendary star of 1980s primetime soap opera "Dynasty," gave her critiques of a few younger stars, reports London’s The Telegraph newspaper.
Asked what she thinks of Gwyneth Paltrow, the 78-year-old actress replied, “Is she the one who called her grandmother a rude word on air?” — using what the publication calls a dismissive tone. “I thought that was pretty shocking.”
Keira Knightley: “Well, she’s thin,” Collins said.
Carey Mulligan: “I don’t want to comment on Carey Mulligan,” she said, with a sad tone of voice, according to the piece. She then added, “I can’t believe she’s playing Eliza Doolittle in a new movie.”
After looking at a photo of Kate Winslet taken at the Venice Film Festival, Collins proclaimed, “Oh, that’s a dreadful dress. The worst dress. And ghastly shoes and an awful hairstyle. I’m sorry.”
