An Academy Award-winning actress was hospitalized briefly after being hit by a car Wednesday morning while she was out jogging in Santa Monica, Calif., People.com reports.
Reese Witherspoon reportedly suffered only minor injuries and was recovering at her home. She was running in an unmarked crosswalk when she was hit, according to reports.
An 84-year-old woman was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, the piece reports.
Witherspoon won an Oscar and a Golden Globe in 2006 for “Walk the Line.”
