Starz will air a memorial tribute to Andy Whitfield, the star of "Spartacus: Blood and Sand," who died of cancer earlier this week, reports Deadline.com.

This Sunday, Sept. 18, Starz will broadcast five episodes of "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" dedicated to Whitfield. The special telecast will begin at 9 p.m. ET, and the premiere and finale will be included.

Starz will rebroadcast the entire first season of the series starting Dec. 16.

Whitfield, originally from Wales, died this week in Sydney, Australia, of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, as previously reported. He was 39.
