A project from J.J. Abrams and "Supernatural" creator Eric Kripke has landed at one of the broadcast networks, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

NBC has made a pilot-production commitment to the show, which is described as an epic adventure thriller, according to the story.

Details of the project are being kept quiet, the story adds. If the project receives an order, it would mark another new show from Abrams, who has "Person of Interest" and "Alcatraz" at CBS and Fox, respectively, the report notes.

The new project, which comes from Warner Bros. TV and Abrams’ Bad Robot group, includes Abrams, Kripke and Bryan Burk of "Fringe" and "Lost" as executive producers, while Kripke will write the pilot, the story adds.
