Barely into the current season of one of its dramas, AMC has announced that it is bringing the series back for another season, EW.com reports.

The show is the zombie drama “The Walking Dead,” which has aired only two episodes in the current second season. The decision is not a surprise, the story notes, with the season premiere pulling in more viewers in the key 18-49 demo than any other basic cable drama in history.

Sunday’s second episode of the season drew 6.7 million total viewers and 4.5 million viewers 18-49, the story reports. Adding in repeat airings, the figure climbs to 8.8 million total viewers. The numbers are down a little from the season opener.
