A TV fitness guru’s thin appearance Monday on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” triggered speculation that he is in poor health, but a rep for Richard Simmons says he is “fit as a fiddle,” People.com reports.
"He’s the healthiest he’s ever been," said his rep, Tom Estey. He added that Simmons’ weight is the same as when he debuted the original "Sweatin’ to the Oldies," the piece says.
"He is completely healthy, happy and fit as a fiddle," Estey said of Simmons, 63.
Simmons has been campaigning for passage of the Fit Kids Act, legislation that would beef up physical education in U.S. schools, the story notes.
