Charlie Sheen’s new comedy, "Anger Management," has found a home, with plans set for a 10-episode launch in summer 2012, reports Deadline.com.
The show will be on FX, which already airs reruns of Sheen’s earlier show, "Two and a Half Men," from which he was fired earlier this year. The cable network also owns the TV rights to the film "Anger Management,” on which the new show is based, the story points out.
If the show debuts successfully, FX will order 90 episodes and distributor Debmar-Mercury will plan a broadcast syndication premiere for 2014, the piece adds.
Sheen will play Jack Nicholson’s character from the film, a volatile therapist. He attended the pitch meetings on both the East and West coasts, with networks including broadcasters such as NBC and ABC hearing the pitch as well as cable outlets including A&E and TV Land, the story says.
