The CW announced Wednesday that it is giving full-season orders to three freshman series, Deadline.com reports.
The network first announced the pickup for Sarah Michelle Gellar’s "Ringer." It then added pickups for Kevin Williamson’s “The Secret Circle” and Josh Schwartz’s “Hart of Dixie,” meaning all three of its new dramas have been picked up.
While none of the three have been huge hits for the network, the orders represent the network’s belief in their long-term potential, the story says.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "The Secret Circle" has averaged 2.4 million total viewers, and boosted its rating among viewers 18 to 34 by 11% between its second and third weeks. "Dixie," meanwhile, has averaged 1.9 million total viewers, the story adds.
